September 7, 2010

Kyle Craig, technologist, writer, marketer and the man behind thewhitepaperplace.com , has made a nice presentation on mistakes you could make in writing white papers.

The presentation is not a nice and creative powerpoint, but has lots of text. Absolutely normal as you know that this needs some explanation and extra content.

Thanks Kyle for the summary!

Is the white paper dead for B2B marketing?

June 21, 2010

A nice blogpost from Paul Dunay as a result of his conversation with the Bloom Group. The group claims that white paper is about to die as a response to all the new media.

This is not very good news for our platform :-)

But the good news is that the comments on this post are of great value and are giving a new approach on the use of some types of media. …and also Michael Stelzner put up his comment.

The post and comment can be found here.

White papers and case studies mainstays in Content Marketing Spending Survey

January 26, 2010

The annual Content Marketing Spending Survey by Junta42 has been published. And it has some nice predictions:

  • Content Marketing Spending comprises 33% of the total marketing budget
  • Smaller companies spend more than 2x that of larger companies on content marketing
  • White papers and case studies continue to be mainstays in the content marketing portfolio!!!

So that is great news for us, and once again a proof that we are on the right track with combining content marketing with lead generation.

eBooks and other content

December 2, 2009

By the end of this year it looks like that content marketing is a very upcoming thing. More and more companies are distributing their papers via Twitter and other platforms (like ours). But also eBooks are finding their way to the mass.

I stumbled upon a nice website on eBooks with lots of content. Going from cheats for your daily pc game at the end of the day till full covered tips and guidance on your marketing strategies.

It’s worth visiting: Varietyebooks

Another nice one, for those interested in getting more and better sales, and willing to look at social; a new eBook on The Art of Social Sales. Nice blog also, by the way: Marketing Interactions

Old, but still beautiful… euh useful

November 25, 2009

As we continue browsing on the internet, there is an old paper by Darren Barefoot explaining 10 tips on how to write a technical paper.

The paper is from 2002 and contains some links that aren’t working any more and the ‘yellow pages’ for those IT-papers is nowadays a link to TechRepublic. But hey, the goal is that you know how you should write a paper and it all comes down to solving your audiences problem in a relevant and attractive way. Yes, it is you, the expert!
